The FMOS1846BS combines microwave and hood ventilation. A fan that turns on by itself can be the automatic heat-sensing feature responding to heat from the range below, which is normal behavior on many over-the-range units.
Sparking inside the cavity should stop use right away. It can be caused by metal in the cavity, damaged interior paint or a worn waveguide cover. Microwaves store high voltage even when unplugged, so the cabinet should only be opened by a technician.
