Frigidaire sells under-cabinet and wall-mounted range hoods for gas and electric cooking. Inside, the parts list is short — a blower motor and wheel, a speed switch or control board, lights, grease filters and, on ducted installs, a damper — which makes most hood problems quick to narrow down.
We test the fan motor and speed control, check the damper and ducting for blockages, and look at the light circuit. Grease on the filters and inside the duct is also a fire concern above a cooktop, so we point it out when we see it.
