What dF Means
dF on a Frigidaire electronic-control refrigerator indicates a defrost circuit problem — the control could not complete a defrost cycle on the evaporator coil. Frost then builds up on the coil, airflow chokes off, and the fresh-food side usually warms first, followed by the freezer.

- Burned-out defrost heater

- Defrost control or main board not starting defrost
