What L Means
Frigidaire wine cooler guides describe L as the display shown when the temperature in the cooler is too low, with an alarm that can be cancelled by pressing any key.
Common Causes of L
- Set temperature at the bottom of the range
- Cooler located in a cold room
- Control or probe error reading too low
- Control relay keeping the compressor on
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press any key to silence the alarm. Check the set temperature against the allowed range in your manual, and make sure the cooler is not installed in a very cold space such as an unheated garage. If L continues with a normal setting in a normal room, book service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If settings and location are normal, the probe or control board needs electrical testing inside the cabinet.
- Damage caused during a repair attempt may not be covered by your warranty — check your warranty terms first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
