Frigidaire electric and gas dryers share the same basic layout: a drum turned by a belt and supported by rollers or glides, a heat source, and a set of thermostats and fuses that shut the heat off when air stops moving properly. When the vent is restricted, those safety parts can trip — so a dryer that stops heating is sometimes a symptom of a vent problem rather than the fault itself.
On every dryer call we check airflow first, then test the heating element or gas valve coils and igniter, the thermal fuse and thermostats, and the drive belt, rollers and motor. If a safety part has tripped, we find out why before replacing it, so the same failure does not repeat.
Common Dryer Problems
Clothes still damp at the end of a normal cycle
Drum tumbling with no heat
Motor humming but the drum not turning
Cabinet or clothes getting hotter than usual
Thumping, squealing, or scraping while tumbling
Gas model heating briefly and then going cold
