What dP / FL / rt Means
dP (drain pump active), FL (water valve open) and rt (relay/triac test) are service test-mode displays on Frigidaire-built dishwashers. They show a diagnostic test in progress and do not indicate a fault on their own.
Common Causes of dP / FL / rt
- Service test mode entered by a technician
- Key combination pressed accidentally
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If you did not enter test mode intentionally, press Cancel or turn off the breaker for a few minutes and restore power to return to normal operation.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None — these are test displays, not faults. Call only if the dishwasher cannot leave test mode after a power reset.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
