What i10 Means
i10 on a Frigidaire dishwasher is a low-fill fault: the control did not detect enough water in the tub within the expected fill time, so the wash cannot proceed properly.
Common Causes of i10
- Water supply valve under the sink partly closed
- Kinked supply line behind the dishwasher
- Clogged screen inside the water inlet valve
- Failed water inlet valve
- Float switch stuck in the raised position
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Before checking anything, press Cancel and let the cycle stop. Make sure the hot water shutoff valve under the sink (usually a small valve on the supply line) is fully open and that other faucets in the house have normal pressure. Then run the kitchen faucet until the water is hot and start a new cycle. If i10 returns, shut off power at the breaker and book service — the inlet valve and its screen sit behind the kickplate.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The inlet valve is connected to both line voltage and a pressurized water line behind the kickplate — a loose fitting afterward can leak unseen into the subfloor.
- Pulling the dishwasher out to reach the supply line strains the drain hose and wiring connections.
- Damage caused during a repair attempt may not be covered by your warranty — check your warranty terms first.
