What CL / Cd Means
CL or Cd on a Frigidaire dishwasher means the control sees the door as open. Frigidaire's guide says the code clears once the door is closed properly.
Common Causes of CL / Cd
- Door not fully latched
- Rack or dish preventing closure
- Worn door latch or door switch
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close the door firmly until it latches. Check that a rack, utensil or tall item is not stopping the door from closing. If the door clearly latches and CL remains, book service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None when the door simply was not closed. If the latch is closed and the code persists, the switch sits inside the door behind the control panel, which should be serviced by a technician.
