What UO Means
UO on Frigidaire-built dishwashers with a drying vent means the control is seeing the vent as open when it expects it to be closed. Repair references trace it to the vent assembly, its wiring or the control board.
Common Causes of UO
- Obstructed vent opening
- Failed vent assembly or actuator
- Wiring fault to the vent
- Control board issue
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn off the breaker, then look at the vent opening on the inner door edge or top of the door and make sure nothing (utensils, food, film) is blocking it. Restore power and run a cycle. If UO returns, book service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The vent assembly is inside the door; separating the inner and outer door panels involves spring tension and wiring to the control.
- Incorrect reassembly of the door panels can create leaks at the vent.
- Damage caused during a repair attempt may not be covered by your warranty — check your warranty terms first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
