What F2 Means
F2 on older Frigidaire ovens (wall ovens and range ovens from before the expanded two-digit controls arrived in the mid-2000s) with a single-digit F-code electronic oven control means oven temperature went above specification. Frigidaire service literature gives the thresholds as above about 665°F with the door unlocked, or above about 965°F with the door locked during self-clean.

- Faulty oven temperature sensor
- Relay stuck on at the control
- Self-clean overheating
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the oven off and keep the door closed while it cools. Once cool, switch off the breaker for 30 seconds and restore power. If F2 returns, leave the oven off and book service.
