What F3 Means
F3 on older Frigidaire ovens (wall ovens and range ovens from before the expanded two-digit controls arrived in the mid-2000s) with a single-digit F-code electronic oven control indicates an oven temperature sensor (RTD) fault. Frigidaire service literature notes that on some older controls F3 means an open sensor and F4 a shorted one, while on later single-digit controls F3 covers both. Frigidaire's current range guide uses F3 for a communication error instead, so the control generation matters.
