What F30 Means
F30 on Frigidaire electric and gas ranges with an electronic oven control means the oven temperature probe (sensor) connection reads open.
Common Causes of F30
- Failed oven temperature sensor (RTD)
- Loose sensor connector behind the oven
- Damaged wiring
- Control board input fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the oven off and let it cool. Then switch off the range breaker (or unplug it if the cord is reachable without pulling the range out) for 30 seconds, as Frigidaire's guide recommends, and restore power. If F30 returns, book service. On gas ranges, if you smell gas at any point, do not operate any controls — leave the home and call your gas utility.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The sensor connects behind the oven back wall; the range usually must be pulled out, which on gas models involves the gas connection.
