What F40 / F41 Means

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn all burners and elements off. Check your manual to confirm no cooktop lock feature is on. Then switch off the range breaker for 30 seconds and restore power. If F40 or F41 remains, book service. On gas ranges, if you smell gas at any point, do not operate any controls — leave the home and call your gas utility.
