What E58 Means
E58 on Frigidaire front-load washers with a digital display indicates high current on a motor phase.
Common Causes of E58
- Motor winding fault
- Harness damage
- Inverter board fault
- Excess drag on the drum
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer first and wait until the drum has stopped completely. Open the door and redistribute the load — a single heavy item like a bath mat or comforter can strain the motor — and remove part of an oversized load. Plug back in and run a Drain & Spin. If E58 returns, book service.
