What F2 Means
F2 on Frigidaire front-load washers that use this code means too much soap or the wrong type of soap, per Frigidaire's support article. Excess suds can leak or overflow from the washer. (Other Frigidaire front-load controls report oversudsing as EF2.)

- Regular (non-HE) detergent used
- Too much detergent
- Suds residue from previous loads
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Use only high efficiency (HE) detergent, and reduce the amount — HE washers need far less than older machines. Frigidaire recommends running an empty Quick Wash to clear leftover suds.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None — routine usage correction. Call if F2 persists with the correct detergent, or if water is found under the washer.
