What E5A-E5C Means
E5A, E5B and E5C on Frigidaire front-load washers with a digital display indicate high temperature on the heat sink of the motor control board.
Common Causes of E5A-E5C
- Motor control board overheating
- Overloading or long heavy-duty runs
- Motor drag causing extra load on the board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer for at least 30 minutes to cool. Make sure the washer has some clearance for airflow and is not running oversized loads back to back. Try again with a normal load. If any of these codes returns, book service.
