What E11 Means
E11 on Frigidaire front-load washers with a digital display (including Affinity, Gallery and current front-load models) means the fill took too long — the pressure system did not register the expected water level in time.
Common Causes of E11
- Supply faucets partly closed
- Kinked fill hose
- Clogged screens in the water inlet valve
- Failed inlet valve
- Pressure sensor or pressure hose issue
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Stop the cycle and unplug the washer. Make sure both hot and cold faucets behind the washer are fully open and that the fill hoses are not kinked when the washer sits in place. If your home has low water pressure elsewhere, that is worth noting. Plug back in and run a short Rinse & Spin. If E11 returns, book service — the inlet valve screens and valve are inside the cabinet.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The inlet valve connects to pressurized water lines and line voltage at the back of the cabinet.
- Removing the hoses to clean screens can lead to leaks if washers are damaged or fittings are cross-threaded.
- Damage caused during a repair attempt may not be covered by your warranty — check your warranty terms first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
