What E31 Means
E31 on Frigidaire front-load washers with a digital display (including Affinity, Gallery and current front-load models) means the water level pressure sensor is not communicating correctly with the control board. Appliance Aid notes it on models with an electronic pressure sensor.
Common Causes of E31
- Failed pressure sensor
- Wiring or connector fault
- Pressure hose disconnected or blocked
- Control board fault

Unplug the washer for 5 minutes as a reset. If E31 returns, book service.

- The pressure sensor and hose are inside the cabinet near live wiring.
