What E4 Means
E4 on Frigidaire top-load washers with a digital display means the load is out of balance during spin. Frigidaire notes the washer tries to correct the imbalance on its own several times before showing E4.
Common Causes of E4
- Clothes bunched on one side
- Single heavy item such as a rug or comforter
- Washer not level or rocking
- Shipping support not removed on a new install
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer or press Pause and wait for the basket to stop completely. Redistribute the clothes evenly around the basket and separate heavy items. If the washer is newly installed, confirm the foam shipping support was removed, and check that the washer sits firmly on all four legs. Resume the cycle.
